Facebook Gaming and Oculus @ PAX East 2019

April 11, 2019

Every year, the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) is high on the list of must-see gaming events. With conventions all over the US, and one in Australia, PAX is as much about geek culture as it is about video games. If you were lucky enough to hit PAX East in Boston this year, you had over 300 booths full of geeky goodness to explore, from new tabletop games to upcoming video games. Industry bigwigs like Sony, Microsoft, and Ubisoft rolled onto the expo floor with hotly-anticipated game demos, preview footage, surprise announcements, and a lot more.

Facebook Gaming and Oculus planted a massive booth in the Expo Hall, where it had new experiences and activations from Oculus, Facebook Gaming, and Instagram. The booth also featured the Creator Corner, where Facebook gaming creators put their gaming skills on display for all to see, and the Creator Lounge, where members of the community could hang out with some of their favorite creators, like Darkness429, The King Slayer, and Melonie Mac.

Of course, the Facebook Gaming booth was also the place to be if you wanted to go hands-on with Oculus Quest, our first all-in-one VR gaming system, and Oculus Rift S, the upcoming successor to the original Oculus Rift.
