See it in VR with Oculus Go

November 12, 2018

You haven't seen it until you see it in VR. With Oculus Go, old favorites feel new again, and there’s more immersive content every day, from blockbuster movies and shows to the latest sporting events. Today, we’re excited to share a new Oculus Go campaign, where a few familiar faces rediscover their passion for movies, see themselves from a different perspective, and discover new ways of hanging out that feel surprisingly like … hanging out, even from thousands of miles away.

With Oculus Go, you can spend time with your oldest friends, like Adam Levine and Jonah Hill, while watching classic 2D movies on Hulu and award-winning original series on SHOWTIME(R). You can even sit courtside at an NBA game and chat like you’re really there, thanks to NBA League Pass and NextVR in Oculus Venues.

Maybe you want to watch a few Hollywood hits in the best seat in the house. For actor Leslie Jones, that seat happens to be in her own place, where she can stream the most talked-about movies with Oculus TV, turning a night indoors into the best show in town thanks to a virtual 180-inch screen.

If you’re a music lover, Oculus Go brings unparalleled access to the biggest musical acts in the world. MelodyVR delivers a sensational lineup of pop stars and star-studded performances — packed shows or intimate venues, the choice is yours. If you’re GRAMMY Award-winning artist Wiz Khalifa, attending the performance of a lifetime is as easy as finding a spot on the couch.

And there’s no better way to binge your favorite shows. Oculus Go makes watching TV a unique experience, like watching the latest season of the hottest show in your own private living room, wherever you happen to be. Award-winning programming has never been more intense than inside Hulu's immersive VR environment; just ask actress and rapper Awkwafina.

Oculus, in collaboration with creative agency AnomalyLA, have produced a series of videos made to entertain audiences and show how VR can transform the way you watch video content.

"Most people still think of VR as tech for gamers, but what we’ve seen with Oculus Go is people using VR to do more than play; they’re using Oculus Go to get closer to the content they love. Relaxing with a movie after a long day; watching the game with a friend. It’s normal stuff, experienced in a new way.” - Josh Fell, Partner and CCO, Anomaly LA

You’ve seen movies at the theater. And you’ve seen shows and sports on TV. We're inviting you to see it all — whether for the first time, or all over again — in VR with Oculus Go.

And now you can experience your favorite YouTube channels, videos, and creators in virtual reality with YouTube VR.
